ASEAN AUTISM NETWORK Theme ?ACT FOR AUTISM NOW?
Autism is now considered the fastest rising developmental disability in the world, autism prevalence in children rose from 1:150 to 1:110. (Released by Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network in 2009). More will be diagnosed with autism than diabetes, cancer and AIDS combined in the coming years.

Different cultures hold different views about life and the world. But how do people from different cultures see Autism? How autism is viewed in a society impacts how people with autism are integrated, what services are available for families and whether or not families use those services.

During the workshop besides focussing on the parent-child interaction in both verbal and non-verbal behaviours, the Facilitator will also provide and insight on children?s development and play behaviours.
